Hollowpark Rock

Another latter-day omission by the Ordnance Survey having appeared by this name on maps as late as 1949, Hollowpark Rock has been rediscovered in 2018 for a new generation by Max Piper.

The Rock itself is a huge sloping outcrop that is visible from the lane running by Clampitt to the south.

Although a path runs to the summit of the feature the lowest and most impressive part is set in the private enclosures of the aforementioned farm and is not accessible.

This outcrop is accessible to the public, but part is on private land.
Enjoy, but please behave responsibly and always follow the Countryside Code. Always seek landowner permission if wishing to visit the area out of bounds.
