Little Vixen Tor

Swallever Rocks

Tim Jenkinson visited back in 1999 courtesy of the then occupier of Vixen Tor Cottage, Sylvia Coates. This is a small lone tor well down to the north-east of the main pile of Vixen Tor.

A strange anomaly of The Countryside and Rights of Way Act of 2001, the Open Access Land that this tor resides in is surrounded by Private Land and cut off from any who wish to visit today; it has become a sad casualty of the decision of the landowner to shut off access to the grand tor above.

There is some consolation, albeit small, that Little Vixen Tor can be seen from the bridleway through Longash Farm on the opposite bank of the Walkham.
